Absolutely. And we even got to play Toke-Along. Admittedly not as crippling as playing the game to Dazed & Confused, but still ....

And they even buried it in sentiment. How frakking sweet.

    If Cylons were stoners ....

I actually doubt it. Well, I bet their hydroponic systems would produce some top o'the line dope, but come on. If they were stoners, would they really have nuked twelve—or is that thirteen—planets?

    You know:

Cavil: Alright. The nukes are ready. Leoban, are you done fueling the Raiders?

    Leoban: Huh?

Cavil: The Raiders. Have you finished fueling the Raiders?

Leoban: What? Dude, no. I'll get to that later.

Cavil: Later? Come on, people, we've got a war today.

Simon: Oh, give it a rest, Cavil. Family Guy is on.

Natalie: Yeah. It's the one where Jimmy Fallon rapes Meg.

Cavil: And you think that's rape? Wait'll you see what we do to the humans.

Simon: Oh for the love of the One True God ....

    Cavil: Doral! Where's Doral?

    Leoban: In the fleet, stoner!

Cavil: I am not a stoner!

Natalie: That's the problem, isn't it?

Cavil: Athena, will you talk some sense into them?

Athena: What? About five of me and a bunch of Sixes and Threes are going downstairs for a drum circle in the landing bay.

Cavil: A drum circle? We're supposed to start a war today and you want to hold some hippie love-in?

Athena: Well .... (shrugs demurely, smiles faintly)

    Cavil: I ... uh ... see. So you're all going down for a love-in?

    Leoban: (snorts, laughs)

    Athena: Make love, not war.

Seriously, if I was an Eight and could spend all day getting high and having sweaty orgies with myself, would I ever leave the house?

Well, yeah. Call the dealer, pick up munchies on the way home. But, still .. hmm ... nuke twelve planets and set out across the Universe on a revenge mission, or get high and go down on that?

I guess I get why we needed last night's episode. Big endings (dare I say, "Happy Ending") need a little prep to bring them about. Where's D'Anna at anyway? She's such an important character to NOT have on the show at these last critical episodes. I really liked her.

Yeah, that episode kind of pissed me off. Back story is always good, but when there are only two episodes left and a lot of loose ends to tie up, finding out that the president's sister and father were killed by a drunk driver seems kind of beside the point.

    Regarding happy endings:

Plus the scene with Roslin in the fountain was kind of weird.

    How peculiar.

    I expected to be disappointed...

But this was even more disappointing than I expected.

    ah, well.

So the Watchtower was coordinants to earth, as I suggested. This all makes sense given the clues regarding star patterns I turned up on a BSG blogl. It seems the Cylons/colonials were Cro-Magnum man and the natives neanderthals.

And what of Starbuck? She just literally disappeared once her job was done? And it turns out that the Caprica and Gaius visions were actually real messengers from God.

A pretty satisfying ending, overall. Although I somewhat doubt the willingness of the people to ditch all their technology and scatter all over the planet. But, after being cooped up on a starship for four years, perhaps I'm wrong.

To the creators and producers (and the actors), I say, well done. Rarely (if ever) has a television series actually had an organic ending like this. I'm still sad to see it go, but glad to see it go so well.

I take it that Starbuck was another agent of God.

Apparently, albeit one that was unaware of it. Still, it beats being the harbinger of death. Perhaps the hybrids were refering to Starbucks effect upon Cavil's faction. I hope Starbuck and Anders were reunited on "the other side" as he suggested before flying the fleet into the sun. Too bad they didn't just park the fleet on the moon. Would have made for a nice surprise when we got there.
