Ban male circumcision. Why or why not?

funny thing about religion...I asked my muslim ex this when discussing circumsisng our son (me against of course)

me: Do muslims believe in God?
Him: yes
me: "Do muslims believe they are more powerful than God?"
Him: "No"
Me: "Do muslims consider they know better than God about nature?"
Him: "No"
Me: "Do you think God is not capable of altering his own design if it is flawed, via evolution etc?"
Him: "No"
Me: So why then do Muslims presume to know better than God and alter that which he has designed?

Him: I don't know, it's not right.....I agree the practice is flawed medically and religiously...........I agree circumsision is nolonger relevant in todays world

Me paraphrasing this last bit...but basically he changed his view point when faced with my medical evidence and the above religious reasoning.
Bearing in mind most religious people have zero clue as to why they do this! They just 'follow' blindly.
