Not that it is consequential in the least, but just wondering, I've seen some people disagree over calling the Phosphate bond a high energy bond. The argument for is that it has a 'high' negative delta G. The argument against is it gives off relatively low amounts of energy. Almost all text books will call it a high energy bond so I assume this is the proper way of talking about it, though I believe it leaves a lot of people thinking that it gives off a lot of energy, relatively. Would it not be clearer and more instructive to just refer to it has highly reactive/having high spontaneity?
