No, I would not say that Osama is inspired by Islam. Clearly, his main concern in the U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia. However, recently his attention has been diverted to the Iraq war, and the increasing support America has been showing toward Israel. Osama's concerns are all highly political. If he truly wanted to kill non-believers, he would start with his own countrymen, and surrounding nations. He would never pick a fight with the U.S. of all countries if the U.S. wasn't doing something abhorrent itself.
you're only a liar if you try to pass your beliefs as fact you're delusional tho, everyone is to a point
I agree. He used his CIA training from the cold war era to use it against the country that trained him for their own interests. Osama is a fundamendalist, so some of his motives are for Islam. That is why he hates so many of the US values.
in other words, faith i'm pretty sure she is unless she is just playing devil's advocate here and is in fact a closet atheist
Well, even if her religion were, hypothetically, completely wrong, she still has other qualities, so she can't be living a life on insubstantial matter either way. (Though Varda was just referring to the faith part I guess). Anyway, I don't know S.A.M.'s exact philosophy anyway, but what I've heard gives me enough to know that it is not simply based on being brought up Islamic and just doing as she's told. Her mere one example in this thread of Iblis and passion has allegorical value, so by that one thing alone, it can't be insubstantial. Since we don't know a whole lot about her personal beliefs (as she pointed out more than once Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!) we really should hold off judging until finding out more, perhaps?
Heck.. whatever happened to 'all you need is love' ?? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

who me? he was talking about peace, getting rid of religion is just one verse out of three in that song
