It's more logical because the date of conception is when you are formed.
So IF the stars would have any effect on you it would have to be at this point, and not 9 months later.
Or 8.5 months, or 9 months and one week. You see where this is heading

Enmos does it matter where you were conceived, the time of day, the music that was playing, the brand of beer they drank, etc...

They dealt with days , weeks and months not astrological signs and star signs. They were not into trying to figure out what sign you were and tell you about your life and how things are going to be. They only had to calculate the Earths cycle around the sun basically so they did not need all of the other planets to do that. They also knew of a few other planets but not all of them because, as I have said, they did not have a telescope.

Because the gravitational pull of the moon doesn't effect our earth at all, not the water, not the plants, and certainly not the humans who's bodies are made up of 70% water... of course it wouldn't effect us at all. Do you think that the higher incidents of awkward behaviour around a full moon is coincidence too?

Do people buy the Farmers Almanac because it's just a novelty item?

yes, just coincidence. And the moon has no affect on the water in our bodies. None

Perhaps, from their point of view.
However is personality not something that is always in flux and constant development? I guess that's really a debate about nature vs nurture though. Did scientists ever discover just how much is genetic and how much is learned?

Anyway, I'm glad we already agreed it's complete bullshit.

Again, this is all where intuition and skepticism collide with beliefs and no one can agree. I don't neccesarily agree with it or believe in it... I just think that it is possible, and that we can't know either way.

Me, I keep my mind open because anything is possible.

I refuse to close my mind, and ignore the signs.

I keep an open mind as well. If someone shows me that it's true I'll believe it

I'd like to see some scientific back-up for the moon's effect on people, particularly over anything psychological.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farmers'_Almanac

I wasn't familiar with it so I looked it up, but I like the first paragraph on weather prediction, very interesting.

    No, anything isn't possible. :bugeye:
If that were true I'd have to believe in the Illuminati

Scientifically, chemically biologically... yes, you are right.

In practice, maybe not so much... Please let me know when science can accurately study the metaphysical... k?

Wouldn't there be more criminals out in a full moon because its easier to see and you don't have to carry around a flashlight?
