I just dont get your logic posting stuff like that, no offense.

Are you saying god doesent exist because we know how our brains function??

Do you want us just to have empty air in our brains to believe there is a god?? What the hell is the point of it. There cant be any point to reality! If there ever was one reality would cease to be.

Joey, you'll have to study brain science to see that the brain actually does something.

And, yes, reality has no built-in meaning or purpose, which is the ultimate freedom to be. On top of this you wish for strings to be attached?

Existence seems to be mandatory, for it’s here because it could be here, and since it could be here it would be here, and probably always is, was, and will be, since ‘nothing’ cannot be.

It’s not necessarily that eternity/infinite is exhaustive in accomplishing all of its possible forms. Or is it? Either way, energy goes through its courses, that's all.

You didn't undo anything from me or from science and you still have to provide support for your theory rather than "just say".

That goes both ways Sciwriter, your baseless suppositions lead to regress. You insist on saying I think there are strings attatched when I say god is the contigent matter that physical reality is based upon and you havent discredited any idea that this world is not digital-based or you would be considered enlightened which your not.

You seem to think its more rational to think of consciousness in terms of independant faculties, the mere fact that this "dimension" or "frame of reference" exists inclines me to think that god is the infinite range of possibility that our contigent matter is based upon. Reality is subjective and we will live eternal lives in eternal levels of consciousness.

What truly lives or dies. In the arbituary sense you can consider "death" to result in your biological functions not working. Which is fine.

But! The fact that consciousness exists and the fact we can create consciousness is testament that we are god. What premise would advocate an energy balance in which this unique reality is founded upon. Why do cells interact in such meaningful ways to create an unneccessary additional layer on top of inanimate matter that will not only use the energy in the system but create in a time of us beggining in 0 and than ending in 0 how is it that you can conclusively assert that life has no point and is accident.

I'm not claiming god is an entity outside our fabric of consciousness. I think god is this layer for "physical" properties would be meaningless without this property. It just seems to convinient. Fine if the matter that postulated itself does not have intelligence than this reality can only be explained by sheeeeer possibility that we exist. In the spirit of that argument - a god couldent have been created in a different planet that can or has learned to manipulate matter and the energy flux

your statements dont adress the premise of consciousness existing.
Fine its okay nobody knows lets just enjoy reality and make every other humans life better because I suspect we will all experience every state for we are all one untill we make a perfect reality.

Than cease to be, which is the ultimate reality(?)

Reality is subjective and we will live eternal lives in eternal levels of consciousness. — Joey

Good, then we will have plenty of time to work on our theories. Perhaps we all alive in the future will merge into one universal mind, as that comes later, not first.

We make our own meaning in the short run, being mostly free to be, within our form.

Darn, an earthquake. Brahman must have turned over in his sleepy dream state.

So, how did this Guy or Consciousness happen to be around forever?

We know that consciousness didn't just project it as a hoax just for show like a movie.

You win ScriWriter you proved that god does not exist and this is an analog (?) reality with no premise. How did this infinite amount of conscious faculties come about SciWriter? I suspect you know little surrender your line of logic to "consciousness is supposed to be here" thus god is not needed.

    O.K, whatever.

Do you know? Would anything otherwise have any meaning (if consciousness was universal and didnt project itself as an illusion with infinite focal points) I guess you know alot of information you dont want to share.

You keep personifying my belief in god with a sleeping giant. Continue, if needed but understand that my definition of god and your "nothing and infinity" is my definition of god as the fabric of consciousness that is consequence to entropy and the expansion of the universe. Do you deny that our physical reality is based on a source of contigent matter? How are you soo sure this isnt an illusion?? What premise leads you to believe matter is independant of consciousness?? Doesent QM essentially state everything is processed in thought and in quantum events. What exactly are quarks anyway?? Do you know??? WHAT IS A QUARK. LOL. Something thats just supposed to be there, eh......

Well god to me is that quark moving onward in its expansion untill it reaches that 0 point again thus infinity is the only possibility and we are god the same contigent matter the universe is based upon we are just an aspect, we are just experience. We will die. We will live again.

Life is meaningful and meaningless in the same instant. Time is irrelevant and only assigns us meaning in each form. We'll go back to the zero point and perhaps do it again some other time. I'm sounding like a crank I dont neccessarily ascribe to these beliefs exclusively. I would love to make sense of your "scientifical" explanation but I dont see the science in its premise, it has no foundation to me, neither does my supposition but for my intended purposes I believe. I think will is a different layer within infinite ranges of possibilities reality can never get old.

Good point for scientific provable context, and I'll be damned if I am going to argue for the other side lol, even though I may do a better job than the theist lot. But the possibility of what I said does have intellectual relevance when discussing in the context we are discussing in? We are being highly conjectural, so it isn't much of a leap to imagine a god that is simply slightly more complex than ourselves? He only needs to be of a larger scale than us to have relevance to us. He would be our god, and the theists would be happy enough. they could just adapt their interpretations to fit, as they are wont to.

And ultimately the debate would be theirs.

    Open to all possibilities.

I have a story about this alien, but I don't if there's a story place here for me to put it (I guess I could start a story thread). He was higher evolved and accidentally threw out a bunch of debris into space (no where else to put it), that formed out solar system. Earth put him on trial, but it all worked out fine.

I was thinking more external of the universe overseer type-stuff, for the means of this conflab. How long is the piece?

    Wow! A whole universe.

The piece is too long for here, and starting 'A Story Thread' didn't want to work for me today.

Yeah, maybe a writing forum may suit better.

I teach my kid to understand all religion. But believe in none! Why? well there are inconsistencies in all and its as plain as day. But why learn it then, ... two reasons: one, it is an insight into human weaknesses and two, its how you control all those who believe in it ....

lol sure... every time i need to win an argument with my MIL, i invoke her 'god' its hilarious how she capitulates in mere seconds. And the best part is that there is enough material in the 'holy' books to support just about any position.

But seriously. Life in itself is a beautiful and powerful thing, teaching kids everything from the vastness of space to the tiniest insect the unaided eye can see really opens the mind of children, They are so pure and natural, I try not to pollute it with limitations. Teach them to respect themselves above all else and set them into the world. Just my 2 cents.

I would tell them the truth. That i really don't know. How can we know what really happens? It's not like anyone come back to tell the tale.

My parents never mentioned religion at all. I didn't even know what it was until I was about seven. I laughed my ass off.
