Of course it is, because it WASN'T my result. I just answered the questions (with "strongly agree") to get through them all so that I can see which ones may have put me more on the "right" side of the graph.

I expected the libertarian leaning but for some reason I imagined you as being even further right.

If he got any further right, he'd be a paradox.

I am in the bottom left quadrant, very close to where the Dalai Lama scored in the example.

I find this quote by Buffalo interesting. How does Buffalo know people were false in their responses to the survey? Why would anyone enter falsehoods in the survey or alter the results of the survey?

I think this says more about the way Buffalo thinks and processes information than it does about anybody taking the survey. The thinking seems to be:

Results do not = my expectations therefore the result is false.

Rather than the result does not equal expectations, perhaps there is something wrong with the expectation. And from what I have seen, this is a very typical thought process amoung Republican stalwarts. It also is found in those on the extreme left (e.g. femi-nazi')s as well). In this type of thought process the expecation is always correct. Factual evidence when not in agreement with expectation is always false. Factual evidence is only true when in agreement with expectation. It is an interesting thought process.

I guess, my split opinions aren't that obvious to some people.

The number line is a crappy model for political ideology and the plane is not much better. The questions used to determine Left Right Authoritarian and Libertarian don't really measure political sentiment all that well.

Since Draqon isn't here today, I'd thought I'd post something for him:

"I'm not left wing or right wing...I have two wings! so I can fly!!!"

Just call them like I read them.

String landed just about were I would expect of him.

As a ex-Platoon Sergeant, I would have no problem with String in my Platoon, but I would consider him on the liberal side of the spectrum, but the intelligent side of that Faction.

I know you do Buffalo. But I would hazzard to guess you might be a wee upset if some of his boyfriends showed up in the enlisted quarters.

Something like 90% of Americans believe that they are middle class.
Most people probably think they are closer to the center than they really are.

In your opinion, was Teddy Roosevelt left of today's American center on economics?

I would be a wee pissed off if any of the girl friends showed up in enlisted quarters.

I don't give a rats ass what they do off base as long as they show for duty when scheduled and reveille, Monday morning, at O-Dark-Thirty, and don't have to go to the Medics for the Clap.

P.T. will sweat the alcohol out of their system, along with a day on the Tank Line at 90 deg. in the shade.

Are you talking about Teddy Roosevelt or Franklin Delano Roosevelt?

FDR was left, and Teddy was Right.
