Do any Arab countries offer the same kind of assistance to those going to school in which Arabic is not their first language?

Sounds good. Just like the Danes to be liberal and broad minded in their efforts towards INTEGRATION. If only some of their immigrants were like minded in their efforts.

This will be more helpful than the cartoons that's for sure.

Why should they be helpful ?

And, also, I don't see how this (the classes) will boost integration.

You think its pointless to expect Danes to learn about different cultures?

No, but I find the reasons a bit weird.

In some countries minorities have classes for their kids in their languages on weekends for few hours .

Ah the cartoons are a matter of free speech in a society that values freedom of speech and expression. If muslims in or outside the country didn't like it that is their problem.

by the way Danes learn English, French and German in school they have been learning other languages for a long time now.

If you knew what hellish problems they have been having with this particular group of immigrants you wouldn't find it so weird.

Hellish problems ? Why don't they just kick them out then ?

Maybe the state can also pay for the education of other kinds of trouble makers, like hooligans and neonazi's.

Ah And ah it is a genius thing to do to divide people and spread hatred by this kind of free speech.... and

Well they have changed much of their immigration laws but the problem stems from muslims who refuse to integrate but demand change from Danish society that suits their religious and xenophobic ways.

Why? Knowing English for example gives me access to viewpoints about Anglo-related culture. Knowing Arabic can create a similar dialogue for the Danes and may even educate a few Arab speakers about their own history.

And why are they giving in to that ? I don't understand ? Kick them out.

One of the reasons given was "to boost integration". The other reason seems to be a 'pacifier' (excuse my use of the word, I couldn't find the right one :D).

Perhaps unlike native Americans and aboriginals the Danes will get more success by integrating with the immigrants.

Why would they integrate with the immigrants ? Why don't the immigrants integrate into the society they so much want to be a part of ?

No, just as it is not pointless for the immigrants to learn about other cultures, rather than trying to force change every other culture to their own.
