How can one prove they saw a vision of a random apartment number years before and then later ended up in an apartment with the same number on the door along with some other details that make it creepily less likely to be not coincidental? Also, it wasnt the first choice as that was taken and the next available was offered so it wasnt conscious.

If the future can be seen, what does this possibly mean about time or space?

Why would someone see these things in the first place or shown things to a person who is not even a scientist? What could be the point? To have debates with people who obviously need empirical evidence which one can even sympathize with but can't like its some cosmic joke?

I don't think there is any way to prove it.

Just like there's no way to prove that last week I had a vision that you were going to post these comments.

of course, you didn't. you may have guessed that i would post about paranormal topics because of my past paranormal topics but not specifically this topic. i know you didn't have a vision my topic would be apartment numbers. if you had, then you should really check yourself and start frantically delving into this paranormal research yourself with whatever scientific gusto you can muster.

You don't have to prove it. I take your word for it. The fact is we are all psychic at various random times of our lives. I once dreamed of an apt complex which the next day I discovered and moved into. It shows that spacetime, far from being the rigid continuum we thought it was, it rather porous and flexible.

I had a dream about the number 21 one time. Several years later I turned 21. Spooooooky, eh?

This is easily explained by selection bias.

How many addresses have you lived at? How many of them were not the number you envisioned? (Answer: All of them, minus one.)

I'm going to bet that, every time you moved to a new place, you did not look at the address number and say to yourself "Well, no match to my vision. Maybe there's nothing to it."

How many individual little details occur in your life in a given time span? Nearly infinite. Of those nearly infinite, at least some will match. It can't be otherwise.
You have chosen to pay special attention to the details that match, and have ignored the uncountable number that did not.

This is normal. Coincidences happen. They must happen.

There is an urban myth in the healthcare world that more babies are born during Full Moon.

One can easily see where this myth comes from. A momentous occasion happens (baby is born), somebody looks up and says "Look at that. A Full Moon. That happened just last month."

Nobody has ever asked how often they witness a birth and look up and say "Look at that. This baby was born during a waning gibbous Moon. That's the third one I've seen."
    No one ever does that.

As many babies are born during a waning gibbous as any other phase of the same duration. But humans like to find patterns - and more to the point - remember and propagate patterns - even where there are none.

but this is not true in this case and coincidence can be ruled out or considered by anyone, including the person it pertains to. i already knew this would be the cursory explanation but you have to consider the context and i only had my own apartment at the time in my name i had this vision and it was not my apartment number at the time which confused me because it was clearly an apartment number because it was on a door with a keyhole (more than likely), not just a random number. at the time, i even told someone about it and even checked like the numbers of the businesses i would go to or frequent etc and then i just let it go because it didn't match anything at the time.

all other times i was renting rooms or living in an apartment that was not in my name or another on a lease or in houses so that vision was significant. it seems coincidental to others but when you know it's not, others still can't help you explain.

these experiences are not really the issue as much as what the implications are about space and time.

it's not the same as one needs to consider context. that's too general.

The human mind tends to add context. That's why stories "grow with the telling". We tend to add details every time we tell the story, to the point that w eventually can't tell what parts of the story are real and what parts are embellished. "Clairvoyants" are skilled at helping us embellish our own stories.

this is just as much supposition to come to a preconcieved belief or conclusion it must be coincidence. it does as well as does not.

it wasn't embellished. there are details that people know when they have a significant vision or experience though it's subjective, it's objectively known to the person that it's not coincidence. even people who have these experiences can tell the difference between coincidence which also happens to them like anyone else.

what is more telling is how no one is taking a stab at the implications of time or space if it 'could' be true, especially since i already know one can see the future from not just one isolated experience and some others know it too, from their experience.

You remind me of all of those cop shows from the 60s and 70s: "I know who did it. Now all I have to do is prove it."

It's nice to know the answer beforehand so you can reverse-engineer the evidence - much easier than actually following the evidence.

Apartment numbers don't go that high. At the least, the odds of a correct guess are about 1 in a hundred, or several hundred. Pretty good odds, actually.

They surely do. People have visions all the time. How many turn out not to have any meaning? We'll never know because those ones aren't kept in one's personal lore.

touche. that was my point that it must be coincidental. same thing. i already knew that was going to be the explanation from most but testing it out.

OMG, that's so spooky... Sum the ones in your apt number, you get 3. Multiply the 7 in your apt number by 3 and you get 21. That's the number in sideshow's dream. Spooky.
