The dog food I've been buying from the market I've recently been hearing scary reports about, and the way my dog eats I can't afford to buy dogfood from the grocery store so I've decided to bake her a batch of cookies for the week and other good storable meals - and I'm hoping to get some simple budget-friendly suggestions.

At the moment I'm feeding her people-food / whatever is on our table. I didn't know this was a bad thing till today.

People food isn't very good for a dog. You could use Iams, it is one of the top choices of vets they tell their clients about. It is more expensive than many but worth the money if you value your pets.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pemmican

you might try searching on sledging rations or bovril pemmican.

some human foods are poisonous to dogs, grapes for example.
do your homework before whipping up the perfect dog biscuit.

Here's a good suggestion, ask your own veterinarian about what they recommend. You do have a vet you go to I hope, if not you should find one and take your dog there for check ups.
