    Well, I'm not sure a city can engage in a civil war. By my perception a civil war is national. Civil unrest is local.

    BTW: A civil war in Cleveland could only improve the city.

    Even if that is true, here are the facts that can not be repeated from history.

    Our trade deficits are growing at an exponential rate - which is causing massive outsourcing and unemployment. People have a tendency to ignore exponents and linearize in their mind.

    Based on the rise of imports (the projection) at the exponential rate, we are building a NAFTA superhiway to get products from China via Mexico that is a 10 to 12 year project. That means it is expected that we will continue to import at that exponential rate.

    China may not be able to take paper money and keep sending real goods for long.

    Mix these up alone, and you have the scenario for a disaster.

    Every nation has scenarios for disaster (including China).
