    Yea, I didn't know what a baseboard was. We call it 'plint' or plural 'plinten'.

    When I was pregnant with my son, I stood on my feet to work. I got to wear tennis shoes and I wasn't gonna push it, especially since my husband didn't work. When I got home, I had dinner to cook, laundry to do, and a house to clean while the hubby watched TV.
    I may not have gotten rid of my swollen ankles then, but I did get rid of the husband.

    still the compression bandage PROBABLY would have helped even if you couldnt do the other things.

    My partner wakes up occasionally with really bad pains in her muscles (legs and sometimes arms) and all i do to fix it for her is give her some ibprofin (an anti inflamitory) and put a compression bandage on the area and that usually fixes it for her.

    Mum has lyphodeama because her breast and lyph nodes were removed in one arm (breast cancer) and she does the same thing, massage (to move the fluid back up) and compression bandages

    I can see a reason a compression bandage WOULDNT have worked and at least given some relief in your case (but oviously i cant test that fact now

    )

    Edit to add: one thing you SHOULDNT do (which people DO continuasly do) is soak them in a hot bath. That opens up the capillery bed and causes MORE swelling rather than lessening it

    Okay in the interest of science my ankles are exactly 9 inches, which is not at all dainty considering my foot is size 6 [5.5 for some kind of shoes], but I have very high arches so thats a relief.

    Firstly, I'm not a man; I'm a teenage girl. And, in my defence, the thread I made about ferrets was discussing whether or not animals were capable of being moral - so there.

    Orleander, I don't think you're a bad person, but sometimes you do come across as slightly moronic. I've been posting here for over a year now, and I can't remember you ever making a thought-provoking or worthwhile contribution to a discussion. My previous post was only intended as a joke, however, but you did ask...

    I don't think that's the issue. I'm not pointing these things out because I have some grudge against you.

    Cankles are awesome.
