Thats exactly how illuminati works, ie. by keeping people in dark (unaware) of their evil exploitatory activities.

Biological components obey the laws of physics. Anything that obeys the laws of physics can be modeled with a computer. As has already been pointed out. Yawn.

we will soon be talking to ourselves as we walk down the street. They will have downloadable voices and personalities, and have encyclopedic and internet knowledge of the world.

They will be fun, educational, and understand your skill levels on all subjects. They will be teachers, friends, and computers.

I believe it is inevitable that organisms of artificial origin will dominate the world. Human is just one moment of history.

if you designed a machine that could
1: Readily consume other things to repair itself (Anabolism)
    2: Create more of itself
    3: act to preserve itself
4:regulate its environment to suit the above needs

bam, there you go, robotic life. When you look at it, most people do the same things day in and day out and only change their routine when it needs to be, how this is different from an automaton I do not know or care to really get in to. You can argue that something wont be intelligent, but then you have to question what makes up the term of a living and nonliving thing and sentience and all of that which is just a big bother. (here is the definition for living organisms that come from text books and such in early biology, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life#Definitions)
