here's the link, it looks very interristing, but i don't know if it is true or not, i think it's hard to beleive that ancients actually had technology like ours toaday but in a different way, but same thing, liek cars, trains, etc... but not like ours effcorse, there are even alot of claims that they actually had electricity, is it real?

here's a link, about ancient airplanes, i don't know what to beleive, so i took it on sciforums to see what do you think about it,

Many artifacts throughout history can be shown that they resemble many different things such as planes in this case. You can see many things if you look hard enough at anything. Just keep an open mind and remember that NO planes were made that were ever found from before the 13 century.

    .

yeah; that's what i'm sure of, but, what if they had airplanes, maybe just some, for kings or pharons or something, since they have no democracy, or developed society systems, maybe they did have some, but they diseppeared, some sites and article, say that it happened a pole shift in past, that destroyed everything, also, look at what they built, thye should have some kidns of technology to make them build what they built

If some website told you there was a pole shift I can tell you that it is bullsh1t.

First off, the last poleshift happened tens of thousands of years ago. And yes, there is actually a way to tell when poleshifts have happened in prehistory.

Besides the fact that no species has ever been harmed or become extinct during a pole shift.

so there was actually other civilisations even before the last pole shift,

Shifts in the magnetic pole do not cause any destruction. They just make compasses point in the wrong direction.

    You are incorrect

Human civilization does not mean when humans first learned how to walk, or even when they learned how to throw spears rather than feces.

Here is the definition of civilization

The oldest civilization is at most around 7000BC to 10000B

The last reversal was 780,000 years ago.

That predates history by a lot.

To clarify, the notion that there was a "Lemurian" civilization (or a technologically advanced "Atlantean" one) are just legends, and mostly modern legends at that.

The notion that Atlantis has advanced tech comes from the 19th century and was never mentioned before that. Plato did mention Atlantis, but as a wicked civilization comparable to the good and virtuous Atheneans. It was a parable for him to explore the fate of Athens is Athens gave in to what he felt were bad ethical practices. It's not clear that he didn't just make it up, but it is clear that later authors felt free to embellish after him.

Most technologies consist primarily of ideas rather than artifacts. Therefore they spread quickly and are very difficult to destroy.

Take iron metallurgy for example. Once people figure out that if they make rocks hot enough they'll melt and iron can be extracted from the liquid, the technology of ironworking has been discovered. Their neighbors will soon know about it, and then their neighbors. Even if your army goes into their cities and destroys all of their furnaces, they'll still know how to do it. The idea has not been destroyed. You'd have to ride out into the countryside and kill all of the people who know the idea. And you can't do that because ideas travel faster than horses.

If someone in Pharaonic Egypt had figured out how to build an airplane, other people would soon know.

Besides, they didn't have fossil fuels in Egypt. What kind of engine could have been used to propel an airplane? Was it just a glider? You can't power an airplane with a wood-burning steam engine; the power-to-weight ratio is too small. Even if you could, the Egyptians had not invented that either.

    .

mayeb they had like, airplanes, but, nto with fuel, but with teh wind force, since it will have big wings, and propably otehr stuff, also, mayeb they had another kind of energy, or a water vapor motor, arabs invented it later, by al jazari, but he didnt know what to do with it, also greeks did it before, so mayeb egyptian invented it also, and used it in soem ears, also, who said that we know every thing about the ancient egypte

    There is no such thing.

Shadow1, your neglecting the point, it is not freaking possible. End of story

You cannot power an airplane off of the wind, that's silly.

Water vapor? how in the world is that supposed to work?

Shadow1, why would they even invent a plane? No one has ever found any proof of ANY reason for how theyd have a plane, they dont have the right engines, the right materials, or the right know how.

Unless your suggesting aliens the sheer idea is pretty dumb.

Are we talking about "robot heads" on the Moon kind of speculation?

    what do you mean?

You're referring to a glider, or a sailplane as they're sometimes called. They have no engine and just ride thermals like vultures. But they have to be gotten off the ground. They way it's done is to tow it behind a car until it's going fast enough to develop lift and rises off the ground. The Egyptians had no way to accelerate a vehicle to 40-50mph.

The only other way to do that is to leap off of a steep cliff; that's the way people take off in hang gliders. But it would be nearly impossible to launch a plane that way because it requires very intricate navigation adjustments in the first few moments, and a plane is too heavy to adjust.
You don't understand. The amount of energy required for flight is enormous. The only source of energy of that magnitude is petroleum, and it had not been discovered yet. You simply cannot power a heavier-than-air aircraft using the piddly little engines the ancients had discovered and used in children's toys.
Uh... they had a writing system, they were well organized, and they left meticulous records. We don't know what every Egyptian had for breakfast on November 13th in Akhenaton's second year as Pharaoh, but we certainly know the extent of their science and technology. They did not have internal combustion engines. Therefore they did not have airplanes.

They are, and have had tests with nuclear. as the energy source.

No, Im pretty damn sure nothing has ever flown with a nuclear powered engine. There are plans for nuclear powered engines in space (which are damned cool by the way) but none on the ground. Sure they may have conceptualized some air engines using nuclear power, but did they ever get off the ground? Do you want to know why?

i believe this is what shadow is talking about
    http://paranormal.about.com/od/anci...g-Ancient-Artifact/Ancient-Model-Aircraft.htm

they scaled that model up at a 1 to 1 ratio but at about 30x that size and it actually glided very low chance that was just a fluke of the design
