    Stop worrying.
Well for the US start to free those in the prison that need not be there.
I think you guys lock up more than any other country and from what I understand there is a racket that sees certain folk profiting from locking folk up.
I don't understand ... What big door your garage door?

But you just told me they were in danger from N Korea.

In comparison to a nation of people locked in prison?

    The freedom to choose.

I think I said that the prospect must be a worry.
That is not to imply that they are in danger although no doubt that probably is the perception.
You don't know that they are locked up in prison. In fact your perception is guided by what you are told by folk trying to make NK leadership bad.
I find one has to be careful and not fall victim of propaganda and ask how have I concluded this enemy is all that they say.
I have not talked to anyone living in NK so I have to say I don't know how it is for them. Probably not good but I simply don't know.
The people may be ignorant but happy I simply don't know and certainly won't form an opinion because the news says this or that.
Do you believe everything your news station tells you.
Trust no one, believe little think things thru knowing lies are the norm and usually motivations can be traced back to money changing hands.

Maybe if N. Korea was firing missiles over the U.S. and not Japan, it would be less a concern.

Maybe the stories from those escaping N. Korea would be more convincing.

Some folk would worry but you have to look at the statistics and they tell you no one is getting hit by rockets. The best place to work out the danger is your insurance agent.. Ask for a policy that pays out if your house is damaged by a rocket...should be a low premium.
Maybe but don't you think even those stories should be carefully treated.
Presumably they are folk who will claim political asylum and will present a case that supports their application.
But rather than speculate I ask do you have something specific or have you had personal contact with any NK person.
I spent my working life in law and real estate and I have learn one needs specifics and unquestionable evidence because sadly the are many folk around who are liars and many folk who are deluded.

When they shoot people for simply trying to leave the country, something is terribly wrong.

What more authority do you need than that?

Oh good. Just checking you were not making your peace with the world before snuffing it, or something like that. You never know with an on-line forum. I found the other day, on another forum, that one correspondent is an old lady in her nineties, something I would never have guessed.

I always assumed you were a dude. Your avatar seemed deliberately tongue-in-cheek.

I'm talking about WWIII, what purpose would I have to be dishonest?

Avatars have nothing to do with dishonesty. You're not pretending to Britney Spears any more than I am pretending to be an altitude map of Mars.

For quite sometime, not fully looking at Seattle's avatar, I took it to be an atmospheric painting of a low moon. Something like Turner would paint:
