You are right, we are in the Information Age. But because, technology is moving at an exponential rate, we need to be in the Knowledge Age. Your assumptions are again correct that, no one is in control. While the technology and globalization is moving too fast, we are still controlled by the old kings (politicians) with idiot gate keepers. This came to light from US Government response to Hurricane Katrina. Our technology brokedown, our process brokedown, even the helicopter brokedown. The right hand did not know what the left hand is doing. I was asked to fax some stuff, but my land line did not work due to Katrina. There is definitely a lot of uncertainity, because the key people are stuck in 1990 (the fax machine days). They do not know what is real and what is hype. Everybody want to sell them snake oil. They end up doing nothing after buying tons of snake oil. Our FBI bought $170 million worth snake oil from their friends. Now they are going to spend another $200 million to buy more snake oil from their other friends. So, expect a lot of Chaos in the next 10 years.
