they weren't kicked out of Israel in 68CE but palestine. Israel as a state fell around 500BCE hence the 2500 years cooment. but I mean its really irrelevant I mean How is the country most reponsible for cheerleading the forcible taking of palestinian rights to give to the jews people ever going to be an honest broker. the Us should just stop giving aid to Israel and just get the fuck out of the conflict and let the EU handle it.

Not likely while Jewish investors control Hollywood. It would be political suicide for any Senator or Congressman to even suggest it openly.

It's one of those situations where a little bit of money can be used to control a lot of money. A little free publicity, a small spot on Fox News, a kind word in some movie script, and you can get billions of dollars in Federal aid sent to the country of your choosing.

What pressure is the USA putting on Israel now that the USA was not putting on Israel under Bush jr? Has there been any reduction in US tax dollars going to Israel? Has Israel significantly slowed down confiscation of Palestinian property? How is Rahm Emanuel disloyal to Israel? I have Rahm filed in my head as a highly pro Israel guy. What has Rahm Emanuel done that hurt Israel?

What has Obama done other than being rhetorically less aggressive towards Israel's enemies to make Obama so unpopular in Israel? Somehow I missed the news about the tough pressure on Israel.

It's hard to admit that our own country is so completely in their back pocket. Isn't it? One of my poly sci professors a few years back had an article on their office door about an event where GWB had publicly made a comment that cast the Apartheid Wall in a bad light. He literally received over 200,000 emails about it within a week from different religious groups, mostly Texan baptists.

Since the establishment of the state of Israel looks like fulfillment of prophecy to most protestant groups, it's become core to their identity to want to see that country succeed, a fact Israel freely exploits. Most of these people are constitutionally unable to perceive any wrong doing, no matter what happens, and scariest of all: there are a lot of them.

I thought it would be a nice change to show that inspite of the ZOG'd Congress and the media blackout, not all Americans are deaf dumb and blind

Excuse me? "ZOG"? Wow. Are you now choosing to pole-vault into the ranks of woo-woo?

I'm taking a page from the admin here and redefining terms to mean what I say they mean

    For future reference:

    ZOG:

buy zog mugs, tshirts and magnets
To frolic amongst friends upon turf or the earth in hopes of mentally, physically and emotionally crushing one's enemies in ritual sporting; these games are usually followed by friendly banter accompanied by games centered around consuming beer
"I can't wait to Zog on Sunday!"

    "I love Zog"

"Dio Zog'd the shit out of that girl!"

Obama's administration has demanded that certain areas in the "west bank" where Israelis live would be issued no new building permits, even to expand an existing house.

This means that the natural growth of a town is choked off. For only Jews, of course. It's designed to stop Jews from moving to these locations, and to stop families already living there from having children, as children need their own room, and since you can't add a room to your property, you either move out of that town, or don't have children. Or have children and live in unacceptable conditions.

This de-facto uproots Jewish towns as a precondition to negotiations with the "palestinians". Extremely prejudicial, and definitely beyond what the States has the right to do. What if China, to whom the US owes something like 800 billion, demands the States stop building in Arizona? Or even the objectively legitimate demand of stopping arming Taiwain?

I don't know if it's true or not, but it's perceived that this highly offensive and unfair arm twisting by Obama's administration was instigated by Obama's Jewish advisers (which is exactly the kind of demands that make Israel's enemies cum in their pants).

What's worse is that not only did Obama make these demands, he made them in public, which (a) put much more pressure on Israel to act against its own iterests, and (b) made a clear statement that Obama's admin is much more sympathetic to the Arab/Muslim point of view - much more so than previous administrations. For example, Bush sent a letter to Sharon effectively recognizing that certain towns beyond the Green Line will be part of Israel in any future agreement. Obama now pissed on that letter, basically canceling it out.

So if you're an Israeli leader or just a regular shmo, you first of all feel insulted, then you feel angry, and then you start worrying about whether there is a strategic shift... that's what driving Israelis' very negative perception of Obama. It's not just being upset with him, it's the loss of confidence in America to have Israel's back. I'm sure many supporters of Arab/"palestinian"/Iranian terrorism are really happy about that, and think it's awesome. And that's exactly the point I'm making. There is plenty of reason to believe that Obama is not as friendly to Israel as his predecesors.

At the same time he is apparently very good on the weapons cooperation. This makes me, a pragmatic person, confused. He supports Israel with military toys, but slices off Israeli population centers... wtf? He's unpredictable. I honestly don't know what the hell he's going to do next.

oooh just got this on mondoweiss

    Comments on article in Haaretz

Another comment from same article, typical of above mentioned clueless Israelis

For anyone not in the loop, the Deputy Foreign Minister in Israel [bwahahaha] Danny Ayalon, "boycotted" a visit by American lawmakers.

SAM, you do realize that both of the comments you cited are in the extreme...

You need to understand SAM. She hasn't got a life, lonely, and is frustrated she wasn't born a Jew.

Its her way of dealing with things....make useless arguments against Israel in a god forsaken forum.

I read Haaretz and JPost regularly. And I assure you, those are nothing near extreme. In fact, I'd say, they are quite usual.

The extreme ones would classify as hate speech and cannot be posted here.

Don't get me wrong, I am a big proponent of frank speech and its refereshing to see the honest expressions of lunacy from Israel

But seriously, they have a major problem with sanity.

    See Spock here.

Haaretz is an extreme left-sided newspaper. I guess even for you, not extreme enough

If there is one single reason for me to cheer for Israel, it would be their press.

My parents used to buy the Haaretz. Now they hate it.

Whats good for our enemies isn't good for us I guess.

Thats the tragedy of Israel I think. They are confused about who their real enemies are. Its the people who write for Haaretz who assure people like me, that not all Israelis are asswipes and that it may still be possible for them to live in peace in Arab lands. Hell even JPost and Ynet has some great reporters who do their jobs ethically.

Completely. The strangest part of it all, is that there will not be any peace in Israel while the left wing secularist has any hold at all. Its when only the "mad" settlers and religious Hasidim remain that peace will come to Jerusalem.

The right for some strange reason is more faithful to its own ideology than the left in Israel.

It amazes me how Muslims time and time misunderstand us.
