As a totally random question, what classes/skills did you choose most often and why?

Thief or Rogue of some sort. Oh, and as to the why, probably 'cause I thought it was cool to be able to go anywhere and get into anything I wanted to. I don't like rules.

I usually choose a combination of fighter/mage, or just straight out mage. Only played the baldurs gate series heavily. I choose this combo because it gives me the diversity to do whatever I want, whether killing something, or getting somewhere, or using certain items.

I can also buff up the fighter with mage abilities making it a cyclone of death

Well, yeah, if you're a good noob you can annoy all the monsters away...

I usually choose some sort of preferably martial arts type warrior. Like In baldurs gate II, the monk was the perfect character for me. But, in a lot of cases, that sort of character isn't available, so I go with some sort of spellcaster. When you get to higher levels as a mage, you can shield yourself from weapons, shoot magic attacks back at people, become invisible, open locks, not to mention making fire rain from the sky and raising the dead. They're like Gods.

    I'm a lvl 104 combat runescaper.

I used to be a miner and smither.

then I became a slayer. That raised my combat dramatically from 70 to 100.

Then I became a treasure hunter in the barrows.

And occasionally i dabbled in crafting, woodcutting, fletching, praying, herblore, fishing, firemaking, agility and cooking.

I can do all but farm. There is no honour in farming. Getting my hands dirty with dirt. My hands should get dirty with blood or guts.

    I'm still a noob though.

At the moment I am a might dragon slayer in the dangerous wilderness to collect dragon bones for prayer and dragon hides for crafting.

Hide little dragon, my dragon blade is sharp and if you give me trouble I will whip out my whip.

    (haha...what a nerd post...)

In Elder Scrolls Morrowind, I chose to join the thieves guild and my character had a lot of rogue like characteristics. Come to think of it, I like the thieve/rogue/bandit type classes. Sort of like the untameable class who is full of surprises.

I think one of the funnest(yes, funnest) guilds in Morrowind was the Morag Tong. Assassins guild, totally legal, honorable, and WAY more secretive than any other guild. To the extent of not even hearing of them for the entire game, and even if you do it's really hard to find them.

I usually play a thief-mage type. More thief, less mage, just enough to assist and gain an edge over a regular thief. Then there's also a pure mage I like doing. And the most fun was in a MUD where I was a cleric that was a jack of all trades, master of all.

That's only in the great houses, most of which totally suck. Hlaalu was the best of the three, in my opinion.

You can't hit what you can't see. I'll just sneak up on you and plant a poison dart in your back.

I still think the monk from BGIISoA could beat all that. They become immune to nearly ALL magic at higher levels. Well, ok, highEST levels, but still, monks were nearly invulnerable.

Your right. Forgot it was the houses. Hlaalu was the only one I played.
