The problem in translation could be as follows: The language, usage and meanings change over time. 5000 years is a very looong time. And if the civilization at the time was just an agrarian society - it is one thing, but based on Ramayan and Mahabharat, if it was a nanotechnology highly advanced society then the meaning could be somewhat different except in the base level of human psyche.
