But, you still haven't explained the paradox you created of how you know that?

    The writings of ancient cultures.
On what grounds do you accept that these cultures are lying.

So, the writings of ancient cultures claims Gods don't come here anymore? I have never seen that anywhere, you'll need to produce proof.

I never said those cultures were lying.

It makes no difference if I can prove it or not.
    They don’t come here anymore
I take it we can both agree on that?

Most likely, they were never here in the first place. I take it we can agree on that.

    No.
    Because history begs to differ.

Oh, so you can prove it? Then by all means, prove Gods were here in ancient history? Show me the history book that confirms your claim?

It’s not for me to prove.
Scriptures, which also contain history, confirms my claim.

If you make a claim, you need to prove it, that's how it works. Claims without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Lol. Aesop confirms animals can talk.

    I haven’t made a claim.
The Dogon people have a history.
It’s not for me to say they’re delusional, or lying.

You've made many claims and you know it.

Everyone has a history. No one knows if they're delusional or lying. That doesn't make their God anymore valid than your God.

That God is the origin of everything, by definition? Why isn’t that true?

    It doesn’t make it invalid.
You can decide not to believe it, but that is only your opinion.

Once again, Jan, if you learned from school that a definition of something doesn't make that something real or exist. Definitions define words, they don't support their existence.

As it is your opinion to believe, they are both opinions that don't support the case one way or the other.

You may be making an unwarranted assumption here.
As far as I can tell, words in Jan's post are modified to support his argument. For example, you may have a discussion here where he admits something is true, then realizes it contradicts an earlier claim he's made. His next post will often be "but what does 'true' really mean? It could mean true today, false tomorrow. It could mean something completely different. After all, don't some words mean different things?"

So let’s stop talking about belief.
