Nice horses, I used to own a quarter horse and an aappaloosa. Since you live near gold country, ever panned for gold? And if you did, did you find any?
I panned for gold once when I was a kid. I found a little bit, but not enough to retire after elementary school. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I'm a target and trap-shooter, but I've never hunted. I like animals too much to kill them unless I had to. If I was attacked by an animal, I'd kill it in self-defense. If society collapsed and I had to hunt for food, fine. But until then, I'm cool with the butcher's selection at the local grocery store. Just to clarify, though, I don't have a problem with other people going hunting. It just isn't for me.
Favourite place you've lived? If you were to live in any country (other than the US) for a year, (say next year) which one would it be? Favourite Food? Favourite Movie? Favourite Book?
I hope your feeling better Acid Cowboy, I know you have a lot on your plate these days. Remember to take care of yourself.
No, I don't whisper to horses, dogs or any other animals. My sister-in-law is in the military and is currently stationed overseas. My wife and I are babysitting her dog until she returns. He's nice enough as dogs go, but we're definitely cat people.
Where I'm living now, actually. My wife and I are renting a nice house in the middle of an orchard, right outside of a small town (like 4500 people). If all goes well, in the next few days we'll get the keys to the house we're buying. This house will then be my new favorite, since we'll own it. English is the only language I speak fluently, so that kinda limits my choices. New Zealand seems pretty, I suppose. Without the language barrier, Austria and Switzerland seem nice enough. Hong Kong would be cool, but I don't exactly trust China's government. Japan is supposed to be a safe, clean and fascinating place. I love Mexican food. Either Zombieland or Full-Time Killer, I think. The Illuminatus! Trilogy, by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.
Well, there was mutual attraction right off the bat. We started dating and, after a while, I realized she was the one because decided that I was a lot happier with her in my life than I would be without her (not that I was unhappy being single, though). She felt the same way about me and eventually we moved in together. Then, after a while longer, we got married.
