    I am not sure if the Moon was a captured inner planet. It could well be, since it LOOKS a lot like Mercury. But, I don't think inside it is since, the Moon does not have Mercury's extensive Iron core. My other reservation is that it's orbit is so precise. I would think a capture object would have a a much more eccentric orbit.
