Lately my weedeater tended to die at idle.!!!

It takes a special tool to adjust the carb on my Stihl weedeater which the dealers dont sell… but i found a video of how to use a hacksaw blade to saw thru the protective cans an into the adjustment knobs so a regular screwdriver coud be used an it worked grate.!!!

Below is a new carb -- an below that is mine that i sawed the grooves into.!!!

A couple a weeks after my successful repair -- the weedeater went NuTz.!!!

When in the idle position it woud just as likely go full throttle.!!!

Turned out to be a broken idle spring… which woud require that i take the carb apart to install it… plus have to wait for a new spring.!!!

I just wanted to get the weedeatin done cause rainy days was comin... an i considered usin a rubber band as a temp fix but bein grass covered after mowin i didnt want to go upstairs to get one… so instead… i dumped some springs i had out on the bench… picked one up an slipped one end of it over the nose of the idle lever an hooked the other end to the plastic case… so within 5 minutes the weedeater was runnin better than new once again
