    Hmm...isn't it so that in actual combat only a a relatively small percentage of the soldiers really 'fight'. Could a returning wounded soldier on the front line have a bad effect on the moral? Would he still be an effective soldier?

    I don't know the answer of course. We would need the experience here of someone who has been there.

    Er, interesting, with what appears to be the magazine at the wrong end of the piece. I mean, if that's what it is, this weapon has no barrel, just breach, unless it moves a round two feet and chambers it somewhere else!

    Also, it would be very tempting to hold onto the magazine in the confguration (don't see where else your off hand could go) so quite likely you'd pull your own magazine out during full auto fire.

    Plus of course, somehow the sight sees through the breach.

    I wonder if Flintlocks design is so daring!
