Syzygys--- I think it was 300 exactly. I remember a lecture in high school---the teacher had a master's degree in history (specifically wars), and LOVED the spartans. I remember him devoting a whole class to this lecture, and seem to remember him emphasizing that the number was 300. This is probably 12 years ago, though, so memories are hazy.

Last of the Mohicans? That's ancient. Apocalypto, Sin City and alot of other films really make Mohicans look like mild Saturday morning TV fare.

If you guys are interested in the history but find straight history too dry to read try Steven Pressfields "Gates of Fire" very entertaining read.
