I have a CD which is approximately 3 inches in diameter with a cental hole 5/8 inch in diameter.

What device has a reader for such a CD? I assume it is some hand held device.

Might there be a reader installable on a PC or nexus 7 tablet?

I have never seen such a CD. Are they commonly used?

If you are talking about what I am thinking of, it is a standard mini-cd - they were commonly used for smaller data-storage where a full sized CD wasn't necessary but a floppy was too small. They SHOULD work in most standard CD/DVD drives if memory serves.

Due to Post #2 by Kittmaru, I examined my CD/DVD reader. It has a central portion designed for the smaller CD/DVD. It could read the small CD.

You usually see those CD's ship with Drivers on or as promotional CD's. They make me cringe a bit though since some drives don't clip them correctly, so they can get stuck but it's rare.
