Google is celebrating it with a special google search page.
Just go to google, before they change it.

I seem to remember that signatures of them have been discovered in space, so this is only the celebration of man-made balls.

    Any news on applications?

Re nanotubes. Just a thought that occurred to me.
Has anyone thought of using them as a particle collider?
If I've thought of it, someone else almost certainly has.

The Chemistry section can be very hard work at times.

25 years, and still, well, they haven't brought about a revolution.

That was a spherical pun, just in case it needed explaining.

Obviously ajax has finally been implemented into the searches allowing for instantaneous result changes as words change.

    Good Point.
    I didn't think of that.
