14 C half-life determination

    Can anyone tell me where I can find out the details of the process used to determine &lambda; for <sup>14</sup>C?

    T
    1/2 being the half-life

    Carbon 14 has a half-life of 5730 ± 30 years.
    I'm not sure if that'll help.
