The project actually sounds very nice. Actually the whole notion of a laptop designed for another purpose than office work sounds brilliant. I can still remember fondly using my Psion. It was nowhere near as fancy as a proper laptop but it actually worked more pleasant than a real laptop.

And this project sounds like they are striving to go for gold and at the same time it is focussed on the unfortunate of the modern world.

    Interesting stuff.
I see it has a new interface as... "Sugar", running on a Linux kernel. Anyone know anything about "Sugar"?

Yeah, OLPC is awesome. See, this is the kind of stuff that will solve global poverty, not government aid.

Wikipedia material as accepted text? I don't think that would necessarily be a good idea...

The 100 dollar laptop however...excellent venture...and actually a step to where technology would likely be heading...solid state main drives.
