I've now written over 10,000 posts. Now before you all consider this some sort of egotistical statement to belittle those with lower post counts or before you start saying congratulations... Don't.

To be perfectly honest I'd gone past the figure without even a modicum of concern, at the end of the day when I write posts I attempt to be for the most part informative, hopefully helpful and occasionally perhaps even funny (no matter if I sport eccentracisms or not)

Sometimes I've fallen foul of posting one liners, with perhaps an attempt at humour, I apologise profusely for lowering my standards to blend in with the crowd.

Anyhow the point to this thread is to make me feel less egotistic by placing "You, the fellow sciforums members" into participating in a singular Benchmark thread.

While it's possible to search the memberslist to give you the post totals, I've decided to give you a brief Top 10 posters listing at this current time point.

    • 1 [Most prolific] SAM weighing in at 68,211 posts 43.03 posts per day
    • 2 Enmos at just over half of SAM's, with 38,767 posts 17.02 posts per day
    • 3 Spidergoat 32,437 posts 12.16 posts per day
    • 4 Orleander 23,905 posts 21.68 posts per day
    • 5 cosmictraveler 23,251 posts 9.14 posts per day
    • 6 Baron Max 23,018 posts 11.89 posts per day
    • 7 Tiassa 22,922 posts 5.75 posts per day
    • 8 James R 20,549 posts 6.48 posts per day
    • 9 Asguard 19,487 posts 6.39 posts per day
    • 10 Avatar 19,076 posts 6.02 posts per day

[Note: Avatar has known to have left sciforums because of both disputes and just reasoning there is a world beyond the internet forum, so he'll likely shift off this list shortly with either John99 or (Q) taking his place dependent on whether they can stay on topic, not have their posts deleted or moved to the cesspool for being irrelevant.
Quantity doesn't always depict Quality control.

How long has it been since SAM changed her name?

Can we have the top ten by rate (posts/day) ?

Well, how about word count then? Presumably a tigher control on one-liners.

Ben, I've include the post per days for the top 10, I'll have to see if I can sort out a top ten by posts per day.... (I don't think I can do that without Plazma's help though :/)

Just remember, keep it on topic, don't over exert one liners to get to the point of post inflation or they might get deleted or moved to the cesspool, thereby negating your rise to 10,000 which would kind of suck for you.

He's probably out there skulking around, sulking about one thing or another, I'm sure asking and my response will make him reappear...

Come on now, all of my posts are first rated.

Seriously speaking, I really don't give a shit about postcount. Is that bad??

All it shows who has LESS life in the real world...

    Dominant Submissive more your type?

Anyhow I should have noted "Most Prolific" was not because it was you SAM, just because you happen to be at position 1. If anyone else was there, it would have still been stated with position 1, so I hope you didn't take offence.

Upfront and civil is where I put my money.

As for offence, it all depends on motive, does it not?

    Ach! You said it.

What about settling all disputes with drunken sumo simulations?

How would we distinguish that from the typical post?

The simulation, obviously. Except that now the actual argument itself would be simulated, rather than just the outrage and moral pretention.

We could drop our required creativity input by an order of magnitude, leaving us more time for American Idle. I mean Idol. And whatever you strangely toothed lot across the pond go in for. Eastenders, I expect.
