when i click on a thread to view it i getan error saying some parts might not display properly, when i click details i get: line: 20 char: 2 error: 'null' is null or not an object code: 0 url http//sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=XXXXX where XXXXX is different for each thread. my os is winme, browser internet explorer 6.0.2
That's an old one. And I'm surprised that you only come across this problem at Sciforums. Go to Tools/Internet Options then select the advanced tab. Fill in the check marks for disable script debugging (it appears there are now two of them. One for Internet Explorer and one in general. Both of mine are checked.) And voila. No more annoying debugging messages. When first seeing the title to this thread, I thought it was going to be about the google ads. They don't seem to be working for me. I use ad block on Firefox and what happens is that the last post on the page (sometimes. not always) has a large amount of extra white space at the bottom. I thought to check this out in Internet Explorer to see what would happen, and the ads don't display properly there either. And there is no ad blocking going on at all. Anyone else getting this?
For the record, I'm getting that as well, but I can't figure out what is causing it or even how to recreate it (that's that whole "sometimes, not always" thing).
no it didn't. the box was already checked.and as far as i can tell it only happens on sciforums.i don't like the idea of having to do a re-install.
Hmm. Weird that that doesn't fix it. Of course you don't get it with Firefox. It's an IE problem. I've only ever seen that with the script debugging. That's what you checked? Disable script debugging? Don't know what to say. As to the google ads. I figured it out. The ads only display when your not logged on. But. They don't display. It gets a 403 forbidden error. Don't know why it displays all the extra white space in Firefox, though. What's up? Google still being assholes about their ads? What is the money situation, Porf? Keep us tuned in on developments.
invert- you said that there are two of them, one for ie and one in general. i found the one at the location you scpecified, it was already checked. where is the other?
I'm on Windows XP. They're both right next to each other. Well. On top of each other, actually. ME probably still just has the one.
if they are both together then i only have one, and it's checked. doing a windows update doesn't help either.
