As I watched rain pour around my body I could hear a highway cars pass by on a bridge high in the sky, somewhere behind up top were I could not see. My eyes were closed and I was listening to the falling rain surrounding me, its every drop pulsating through my body, its every warmth bringing warmth to my body. The rain made my body catch on fire it burned through my skin, it burned through my mind, I wanted to become the rain to diffuse the heat but the rain never did catch on fire. It poured around my burning body, just like a leaf I burned yesterday that never seemed to catch on fire as I poured gasoline over it and tried to light the match that never seemed to catch on fire...So as I sat there kneeling over the highway bridge on my burned body, there was no agony and no pain, I felt no happiness and no sadness, I did not care anymore, the cars were not there, the bridge was gone, and all I could see was alley of dancing light emanating from the center. Yet everytime I tried to reach the warmth of the light it seemed to distant itself from me, I seemed to loose my sense and the vision of light. And when I did open the eyes the rain never did catch on fire, the smell of gasoline was gone and matches lay in pool of water by me.
