often times this reminds me of numerous other conflicts in which the general public was misled by the media and propaganda.

it's true that to understand the historical impact of an event, one has to be significantly far ahead in time. this also rings true in the area of details. all the lies will eventually be unveiled. whether it's 30 years down the road or longer, eventually we will know....that is if we're still here.

    Risky ...

Can still remember a while back when the American public was buying 'There's a light at the end of the tunnel' and oblivious to the fact that we were sending rice to S.Vietnam because the delta (the breadbasket of Vietnam) was under V.C. control.

The 'facts' were there, but few were willing to consider them.

Kind of like ignoring the importance of the WTC as a symbol and refusing to believe that another attempt would be made to destroy it.

Most people don't give a damn.

The Media will only announce what they are told to announce. The media is being fed by the government...so we are probably being told about 1/10 of what is really happening in the world and that is being generous.

    hmmm

i would suggest BBC.com or some other news network. it would also help immensely if you spoke another language so that you could look at germany's media for example.
