so....the brain is our central control system, but what are the essentials?
"instructing" our body to perform certain action...
but there is emotion and the concious (if there is one, or call it what you will) which are most certainly linked to the brain.
    just thoughts on the matter!
    thanks

THE BRAIN STEM.. AND the small sub-brain attached to it.. the hypothalimus... and its gland friends....
the short term memory center surrounding the core... and its connections to the senses....
and the big lobes... which is like the memory and processing unit.. capable of programming by habitual patterns.. and mimicing others... observed by the senses..

    good question.

i believe in the phenomenon called "the will to live" and the brain takes precedence over all bodily functions.

at birth the brain is embedded with one thing and this is where everything starts- Survival instinct, then possibly faith in a higher power which doesnt seem to need to be a learned experience, everything thereafter is learned experience.

if an infant had no contact with other humans or humanly influences, that infants needs would be only to survive. would not hate, would only kill to survive (if it had to)...probably wouldnt have a conscience because it would not need one.

given this scenario emotion would be in contrast to the will to live. so the first good experience this child has, which could realistically take place the moment the eyes open depending on what is seen would now be learned and embedded into the brain.

isnt the human body much like a machine with a lifespan? thats easy, everything has a lifespan, even a rock.

my opinion anyway and purely speculation. and could be all wrong...oh well.
