When was the last time you've eaten?

    Ok..forget that question.

This might sound ackward to some of you fogies, but I'm rarely ever bored. Yeah, sometimes restless - having to do things I'd rather not, but almost never bored.

In the rare times that I am bored, I don't feel like playing comp games, going outside, or even browsing sciforums. So, I'll usually end up forcing myself to do one of those things. Not a healthy attitude...but sometimes that's what it comes to. Force yourself to do something you'd rather not, and you'll probably be in the mood.

While waiting for my game to load (I die quite often) I read Tolstoy's Anna Karenin. It's great. Really, really great.

    Read Tolstoy.

I am the master of boredom. I lose interest in things quickly, so I have a lot of stuff in mind to do...

    1. Chat online. So many high school and college friends that I miss.
    2. Read Vonnegut.
    3. Give myself a manicure/pedicure. Guess this one doesn't help if you're male.
    4. Watch a movie. I have probably seen The Princess Bride, The Count of Monte Cristo, Age of Innocence and the Trilogy so many times I could recite the dialogue.
    5. Go out for ice cream or rita's. I can go by myself!
    6. Grab some Chinese food. Also can do by myself.
    7. Bake. I don't know why, but I really like to make brownies or carrot cake. And if I do, I can eat it later.
    8. Clean my room. It is eternally in need of a good cleaning.
    9. Hang out at work. I know this sounds incredibly odd, but I'm good friends with a lot of people that I work with, so it's not so bad.
    10. Shop. Pending I have money, I could shop nearly everyday.

    If all else fails...I post.

    Theres my list.

List of things to do when bored:

    1. Read Vonnegut. To true DarkEyed. To true.
    2. Watch Office Space, The Matrix, Farscape, and Futurama on DVD.
    3. Write something. Anything works. In other words, blog.
    4. Make fun of myself in the mirror.
    5. It's pronounced Minion! It's French!
    6. Think of my ex-girlfriend that was part French and Arabic, but was only born in France, and moved here.
    7. Read old issues of Maxim magazine.
    8. PM Xev.
    9. PM myself. The novelty runs out to quick on this one.
    10. Hop in my car and drive somewhere, then bitch that I don't have any gas.

I love being bored, I strive for boredom. I love sitting around the house doing absolutely nothing. I love just staring at a wall and letting my mind wander. I love it when I get the chance to grab a beer and look at the TV screen with empty eyes. I LOVE BEING BORED.

I am never bored, except for one hideous terrible day when the power went off for 5 hours. I couldn't get online, I couldn't watch tv or play games, I couldn't even read because the book I was reading was downloaded. I couldn't bake with no electricty. I couldn't even go out because the stores were all closed. So what happened? I went outside and made a pair of wings from tree branches, climbed a tree and sat there yelling at people on the sidewalk. This is why electricity is important.
