I googled streaming TV, lo and behold:
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=streaming TV
I thought I'd try to draw on people's experience(not always successful), to find a good place.

    The main concerns:
    channel selection
    computer security
    payment security
    quality

All of the ones I looked at were much cheaper($10 average) than the $44 Charter wants for extended cable. I just want to know how to find teh right one.

I found a few free ones in the first site you googled.

Many were news ones i.e. you click to watch specific news stories.

But hopefully one day we'll be able to watch TV online

I hope we don't watch TV online for I come here to talk to others and get away from that shitty thing!

I would like to watch TV while talking to others instead of having to download everything I want to watch.

The idea was that 99% of the stuff on cable I wouldn't watch, so why pay too much for it?

man I pay WAY too much for cable/internet every month, but have recently had the addition of "starz on demand" or whatever and I gotta say, pretty damned cool.

tivo sort of gives you this capability right?

it'll be cool when more stuff is "on demand". what a kewl think, but I wonder, do they do the same thing over sattellite?
