The direction of a torque vector is a conventional one, chosen to make certain equations work. The torque vector associated with a force is always perpendicular to both the force vector and the position vector linking the axis of rotation to the point of application of the force.

Hi,

The angular momentum vector tries to align itself in the same direction as the torque vector:

dL/dt = M

Bye!

Maybe i'll learn those equations someday soon! or maybe you can give me some examples.
