Interesting observation, Brian. But since you know so much about Fallujah, how 'bout telling us about ....

the water and sewer system?
the public school system?
the public electrical system?
the crime rate?
the playgrounds for the kids (that didn't include the sewers!)?
the housing situation for the people?
how many people lived ten to a tiny room?
how about the food supply system?
how about the jobless rate?
how about the hospital and doctor systems?
how about the basic health insurance of the people?
....
Oh, I could go on and on, I suppose, but since you're the expert, perhaps you can just give all of us a good, basic run-down of what you mean by "Fallujah was alive"?

What did Brian mean " Falluga was alive". Very simple; we killed what was Falluga, including their poor infrastructure. We bombed the $hit out of the place using B 52's dropping a new type of daisy cutter bomb. The bombing started while there was a 12 km line of civilians trying to get out of town. Those who survived ended up in refugee camps. Try to find some recent information on Falluga, you won't.

 

Could you provide information on how Falluja has been reconstucted , or are you just all mouth .

 

Guliana Sgrena the Italian reporter who was kidnapped put forward that napalm was actually used in that city . What I do know is that Falluja was were US troops opened fire on a demonstration directly after the invasion killing many . That incidence was what led Fallujah to become rebellious and led to the US punitive invasion .

 

My question was: who cares about fallujah? we won the battle. that's all that matters in a war. winning.

 

What battle from what I saw it was civilians fighting for their lives from a high tech military onslaught .

 

Reconstruct what, Brian? Those hovels of mud and sheet tin? Those open sewers in the streets (where the little kids played?)? The non-existent electrical system? The non-existent schools?

Hell, we have pig pens and cattle pens that are better than most of the homes that were in Fallujah.

But, Brian, unless you can tell us what wonderful things existed in Fallujah before we attacked, we'll never be able to rebuild it properly ...to the exact specifications as it existed.

Fallujah will be rebuilt as well it should but taking it back from radical fundamentalists and Saddams former goons is alright with me and good for the Iraqi people in the long run.......

Well it was a rough estimate and for all of iraq not fallujah if you were confused.

If you count the amount of civilians which died due to starvation etc because of the american sanctions you will get over 3 million.

Iran-Iraq war: 1 000 000 dead.
1st gulf war: 400 000+ dead
2nd gulf war: 200 000+ dead

The civilians were in Iraqi control, and we were at war with Iraq. Technically, they were enemy civilians. They shouldn't have been there when we went in.
Also, cool skill's explanation makes sense as well, to an extent.
