One of my professors sent me this as background info for a class. It's a chart showing various biometric systems (such as fingerprinting, facial recognition, retinal scan, voice recognition, etc) and comparing them in terms of accuracy, reliability, error rate, types of probable errors, false positives, false negatives, etc.

    http://ctl.ncsc.dni.us/biomet web/BMCompare.html

Some of the data in there is REALLY obscure and I don't know how accurate it is, but the web site is the National Center for State Courts, which provides objective data for trial courts and sets a lot of "best practices" for how things are done in trial law.

    Pretty interesting.
