Lets see. Vector Prime should work. But Center Point still couldn't fire through it (in my estimation) However...The Vong did not travel through the barrier at Hyperspeeds but at sublight speeds.

Second...You've not proven that the Force would work.

Third Even if the Barrier has an end the Vong journey was at sub light the entire way from their Galaxy to the GFFA...so the whole issue of if you can get through is mute if it will take billions of years to travel from GFFA to the Milky Way.

    Excellent. I thought so.

REally...I don't recall sayin the Force wouldn't work in the Milky Way. I remember saying that the Force might be a combination of the Four Forces of the universe and might manifest itself in similar ways. I do believe their use of the Force would be weaker in the Milky Way.

So I was supposed to search the entire page for the information that would prove your claims?

Of course it is...you can believe whatever you want to believe.

we spend 50 pages arguing how gravity wells impede with hyperdrives, and you, self proclaimed GOD of SW deside that they are no longer bothered by it?

None of the Star Wars civilizations have been crippled from a Centerpoint blast. They usally go and attack Corellia to take Centerpoint, unfortunartly Warp is too slow to go to Corellia quick enough, before it is recharged to full power.

    1. Vector Prime have no disturbance at all
    2. I said they would wait entill they got out of the barrier, not the whole way.
    3. Or they rip a hole using Centerpoint

Sorry, it might be someone else that said it. The only power will not work is to sense people ( that doesn't include ships ).

I will qoute it for you.

Centerpoint can crush a system. I love to see what the Federation will do when their fleets start to disapper ( and systems ), and their stars and planets start to explode. Anyways, the Federation never took on anything as powerful as Centerpoint Station.

About 1000x I think. Quad is four times the Heavy Turbolaser.

HoloNet is not bothered by it. HoloNet transmissions can enter hyperspace while in the atmosphere of a planet.

So what exactly is the galactic barrier in ST? Dune has shown that the foldspace engines can take a person to an entirely different universe (granted it was the herbert/anderson duo that said it so it is secondary canon), in hunters of dune, duncan idaho took the no-ship to another universe to avoid the Enemy.

Then you have to take into account the multigalactic nature of dune. in any empire the limits of that empire's range extends only as far as their FTL will transport them to the fringe in sufficient time to keep control. Dune obviously shows it can travel between galaxies.... so what makes ST galactic barrier all that amazing?

    EDIT:
Thank you btw for those links... although i'm not sure which parameters i should use.

Center point is a moot point. Dune would have its way with it because:
    1. you can't track dune ships due to no-fields
    2. all it would take is a single untrackable fleet to go in and destroy the station.
    3. or maybe one guild navigator doing a suicide jump into it with a giant heighliner

oh and if you are questioning how they would find the damn thing think about it..... prescient people, prescient navigation, prescient etc.
