They've outlasted all the "great civilisations". Maybe one of these days they'll be sitting around in their mountains making stories about yours.

That's easy to do, SAM, when you do nothing and your nation is nothing but mud huts and donkey carts!!

Yeah, they might be sitting around in their caves one day talking about all this, but that's where they'll be ....in fuckin' caves with nothing to show for gazillions of years of existence.

Yeah, unlike the Greeks, Romans, Mongols, colonials. They'll still be living their simple lives and disturbing no one else, only defending what is theirs.

Defending nothing is easy, SAM! The Afghanis have nothing, virtually nothing after gazillions of years of existence. SAM, I don't think you should exhibit such pride in such lazy fuckin' people.

Strange then, how all empires go there to die. Whatever they have, everyone else seems to eventually end up there.

You don't know that Afghanistan is called "the graveyard of empires"?

It might be called that, but it don't mean that it is.

When did the Afghanistan war end? February 15, 1989, we stopped suppling the Afghan and the Muhajideen shortly after that, and Omar doesn't show up until 5 years after.

What don't you comprehend that Omar fought as a guerilla with the Harakat-i Inqilab-i Islami, He was not a leader, and the Taliban didn't exist.

Yes, 5 years later, Omar the Guerilla became, Omar of the Taliban, and by that time, the U.S. was no longer supplying any arms to Afghanistan, the war was over in 1989, no need to supply the Muhajideen, the Russian's packed up their toys and went HOME, what don't you understand about that?

Him and all the other Taliban. Received money arms and training. Did the arms disappear when the US left? All $2 billion of it?

Even their madrassah training was carried out under the exegesis of Pakistan's ISI with USD. For those five years when the US abandoned the economy and society, they were funding Pakistan but not assisting the Afghanis. Its why the society went to pieces.

The U.S should not have got involved or help them win the war. After the war the U.S made a clean break, what were they supposed to do?

Who the hell told these people to help anyway?

Yeah, that was a HUGE mistake. They should have let Afghanistan become a satellite of the USSR. Right now the place would be run by some dictator like all the other blah-blah-stans, not many freedoms but a lot more stability.
