Yet in Starfleet, the Sovereign class starship could CHASE DOWN an X-Wing at sublight and then OBLITERATE it with a concentrated phaser strike... even though it's over 100 times LARGER...

Data is a very advanced android and was ruled by Starfleet Command to be a life form of his own type. He's also smarter than anyone else AND has the ability to CREATE and FEEL and INTERPRET as seen by how he plays music.

Ion cannons would be absorbed or deflected by Trek shields as they can fly thru Ion Storms no problem.

They weren't expecting Anakin to hack it. Sep droids are not known to be careful, its job is to return fire. In Republic Commandos, it said that sep droids are not made for smart stuff, they are made for infantry. A astromech is better than a sep droid at flying. Anakin is a good hacker.

So you're saying a lack of supplies meant they couldn't PROGRAM well?

So then why did Greivous use Battle Droids as pilots/gunners/engineers/commanders/et al?

    Why do they need BINOCULARS?

Why can't they hit a STATIONARY ship (ref, clone wars Malevolence episodes)

And WHY for the love of GOD would you let a stupid robot pilot your flagship?

Mate, you've dug a deep hole for yourself. You have stated:

Star Wars uses cheap shit easy to reproduce but low quality.

Star Wars droids are stupid and incapable of cognitive though YET are still allowed to be pilots/generals/leiutennants/medics/gunners/et al

    Clones are a dying breed

The suncrusher and centerpoint are gone

    Basicly... SW lost...

Okay, it said in the book it can target other genes, I read what I read sorry. Wookiepedia is not a detailed summary. Commandos with Katarn armor are like half droid, half human.

Seps are desperate, so they wanted quantity over quality. Assassin droids can do a lot better, so can astromechs. FETT-clones are a dying breed, because the second battle of kamino. They are gone, but Sun Crusher is just a prototype, how do you know they can't make a new one?

Because the station that made it was destroyed? Pretty difficult to build without the station and/or plans for it, and Han blew them sky high.

Star Wars is a fun Science Fantasy ride... but when confronted with the High Tech of Star Trek, it falls flat on it's face. Trek is a higher calibur, both Tech wise and Moral wise.

He is desperate to win. They need binoculars, because they are cheap droids, you seen how they were made in attack of the clones. Plus the Commandos sabotaged most of their factories and supplies. Again, some can't hit stationary targets. The flagship is cheap, easily purchased and Grevious isn't that great a general.

If the technicians survived it can still be rebuilt. I agree with the moral part.

    1) I don't know how to explain it okay? The relay stations are in hyperspace. And they can hyperspace transmitters, don't ask me how they work.

Well it isn't cheap, but they don't need good gunners, because once the power is down, they can waste all the ammo they want.

So? they can jump to hyperspace to escape.

No... technicians are specialized. They wouldn't know the entire story unless ALL of them survived.

Which means they'd be useless vs UFP ships as they could easily outmanuver an ion blast like that...

If the computer is not good enough, even good programming won't make up for it.

Not if they're in a tractor beam... as shown in ANH... also, remember, UFP ships move at nearly .9 lightspeed at SUBLIGHT... far faster than anything we see in Star Wars.

They have plenty of other ships to chose from.
