SAM. please make the distinction between the Bush administration and the Americans. Seventy percent or more of the Americans do not approve of what Bush II has done and is doing. Most Americans did not even vote for Bush II. Most of the electors did not vote for Bush II when he first ran for the office he now holds. His re-election is still a question in the eyes of many. So when you say Americans, you should be saying Bush II.

Most Americans want to leave the area as we have bigger fish to fry and better ways to spend our money.

Is the Bush II regime capable of doing the things you referenced? Yes. Would they do it well? Historically, the Bush II regime has not executed domestic or international policies very well. This government has a basic problem with competence.

I would suggest, not to do anything that would give the Bush II government reason to take any military action...just let his government fade into history and let history be his judge.

Don't worry plenty of ammo to shoot people yet

By a vote of 76-17, the Senate approved the $US556 billion ($644 billion) fiscal 2008 spending bill.

Marking another defeat for Democrats trying to end nearly five years of combat in Iraq, the Senate included $70 billion ($81 billion) in new money for the war there and in Afghanistan. Attempts to attach Iraq troop withdrawal plans failed.

The Senate just funded the war for another year. Thats another years worth of dead people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

What would you like me to tell the Iraqis and Afghanis on your behalf?

SAM it takes time to leave Iraq...especially when you have a president who is bent on keeping forces in Iraq. In the United States we have bit of a problem. The president controls the troops. The congress pays the bills. The congress cannot order the troops home. And politically they cannot not fund the troops. As Americans, we must support our troops.
We will be in Afganistan when the Afganis can take care of themselves and when the threat to our lands has been terminated. Bush II was wrong to invade Iraq. He was not wrong to invade Afganistan...now he did not execute either action competently. But that is another story. Had he done so, we would be out of Afganistan by now.

I consider both invasions illegal. And the dead Afghanis and Iraqis too high a price for American hubris.

    Don't be silly.

First of all, Osama is Saudi

Second, the Taleban offered to give him up if the US gave evidence of his involvement

Third, the US refused because they could not give evidence because according to the FBI there isn't any

Fourth, the Taleban offered to hold an Islamic court proceedings and determine for themselves if he was involved; again the US refused

Fifth, the Taleban offered to hand him over to a third neutral party, for assessing his involvement; the US refused

Sixth, the President disbanded the group set up for searching for OBL and claimed that he does not care where Osama is.

So wtf are you doing in Afghanistan? When you have no evidence for anything, don't want to try OBL or even find him?

Why are you bombing Afghani civilians? What did they ever do to you?

I think we have been through this before SAM. There is plenty of evidence against bil laden including his own statements. Second, death of innocent civilians is the responsiblity of the enemy who does not have the guts to meet military forces on the battle field or at least not in the proximity of civilians. How many civilians has the Taliban killed outright and intentionally...a lot.
You and I both share a distaste for Bush junior. But the United States has every right and obligation to defend itself from attack.

I'm sorry. The FBI says there is no evidence. You President has DISBANDED the unit that was searching for him. The US refused all attempts to try OBL and your President has said Osama is not a priority.

Tell me again why you are bombing civilians in Afghanistan

    What al Qaeda.

Any Tom Dick and Harry can call themselves al Qaeda.

The last leader in Iraq was an Egyptian actor.

Guess the US gave them a lot of funds and arms to fight "al Qaeda".

    :roflmao:

Anyway the FBI, CIA and President don't care.

If those little boats were a threat, they would have been taken out long before they got that close, U.S battle cruisers have an incredible range and multiple target locking batteries. They be looking for a bruising if they mess with a cruiser!

The pilots of those boats are probably still laughing at us.
