OK, for those of u who couldn't quite comprehend what to do in the last experiment on mind reading I would just like to try a much easier one. I really don't care if loads of people lie and say they were thinking of different things because I just want to show some willing people out there, the subtleties of our subconscious. Besides, most of the people who try and put this down with their replies are probably the ones who it DID work on and are just denying it

Despite the above, I WOULD still like to know how many people it REALLY worked for and how many people it genuinley didn't work on.

I want u to try and think of any two simple geometric shapes in your head now ok? Don't try to think hard about them just let them try and come round into your head.

Now imagine one of the shapes enclosed in the other shape. Got it???

OK now I want u to think of a different colour for each shape, thats 2 colours ok?? Got it??

Do not change the image in your mind now and scroll down to find out what i had:

Was it a circle in a triangle and were the colours red and green?

Thanks! I think its supposed to work much better if Im saying it to u head to head! Ah well, lets just hope that the only people replying are the ones who didn't get it! In that case it has worked on 85% of people!!!

I got the exact same thing as Blindman. Wow, we're soulmates. lol jk. Actually, I went to see this mentalist, and he asked the same question, without the colors. It turned out that about 80 percent of the audience chose the same shapes, but it was because he was making hand motions of a triangle and square when he was explaining that they "HAD to be two simple shapes, NO complex shapes". He explained the trick after he did it.

There's nothing special about it. Most people will simply choose the simplest
and most common shapes: the popular ones being square, triangle, circle and
then the more obscure ones (hexagon, octagon, dodecahedron, et cetera)...

    It's all statistical.

I wonder what shape he wanted us to think of... Oh! a TIE fighter!

Or maybe a circle inside a triangle.

    C'mon John.

The subconscious works in subtle ways. The conscious sees deliberate things. If I was to draw a picture of a circle inside a triangle in MS Paint and stick it right there as an attachment in my post do u think it would work?

    C'mon BigBlue

I want u to think of a shape

    TRIANGLE

Now don't let me influence u. Just let it form an image in your head.

I imagine most people will say square after that Bigblue!!!

And since most people apparently only think of three shapes at the best of times, this classic mentalist trick works great with audiences.

"Think of a shape. No no no, not a triangle."
    Wait
    "Is it... a square?"
Half the audience put up their hands.
    "And how many think circle?"
    The other half.

Always use large audiences with this trick and you can't go wrong.

"Think of a vehicle. Is it a car?"
"Think of a vegetable. Is it a carrot?"
"Think of an animal. Is it a horse?"

    The possibilities are endless.

OK, someone has to say it:

Do NOT think of a pink elephant, I repeat: do NOT think of a pink elephant!

So, did you manage not to think of a pink elephant?

Edit: shoot, too bad that there's no pink font colour.

Do not be too sure. DO NOT THINK OF A PINK ELEPHANT! Or your flying carpet will crash.
