super-conducting current ring storage & electromagnetic field

Say you had a super-conducting ring so you can store a bunch of current in there (so its just whizzing around forever)

how would the (electromagnetic?) field around this ring behave?? And surely this field if being able to induce currents in other conductors (like a transformer), would this have an effect on the ring current?
