Occupation is not conducive to a good temper. Ask the Jews from Warsaw.

The atheist ratio is probably higher considering the contempt that most Israelis have for the observant.
I have heard of gelfite, I should ask my Jewish friends to make it next time I am in the US.
That; and pickled herring, gifilte fish and bagels. More Jews would intermarry but goyim can't stand pickled herring or gifilte.

It's media hyper-inflated. About half fall in the hiloni group which translates as "Secular" but the word basically just means "Temporary". It basically means they don't believe in an afterlife. A great portion of them still attend something for high holidays, have bar/bat mitzvahs, and have a Pesah Seder.

You still just don't get it. and the children are the Israelis you refuse peace because they aren't getting everything they want. the palestinians have yet to get a single thing they want. all they want is their legal rights and to be able to form a state to exercise their right to self determination. why do you hate the law and the palestinians so much to expect that the palestinians give up their legal rights and yet more of THEIR land for Israeli wants?
to all my fellow supporters of the law this shows yet again the contempt the pro Israel people have for nonjews when their rights conflict with jewish wants them them wanting their legal rights is met well you can't get everything you want when they haven't gotten anything they wantedLast edited by pjdude1219; 11-30-09 at 04:43 PM.

to spider and all those who support the taking of palestinian land and preventing them from returning is it or is it not international law for people displaced in war no matter how or the reason to have the choice to return to their homes or settle in the place that accepted them and take compensation for their lands?
because the answer to this question(hint its yes) is all that matters. doesn't matter that Israel wants to be jewish. doesn't matter that the jews want Israel. all that matters is the palestinians get to go home and the people living on their lands have to leave(though for the record I do not believe the jews leaving these lands or the palestinians moving back on to them should have to pay for it. the governments of the US, UK, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt should cover the costs. they being respopsible for the plight of the palestinians in that order.)

* * * * NOTE FROM A MODERATOR * * * *
Some of the Moderators think we should simply ban all discussion of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The reason is that it always brings out the worst in our members, the "discussions" don't really go anywhere, and they often spawn flame wars. No one ever changes his mind after participating in one of these threads. It's always pretty much the same people and you just end up making snide remarks or even shouting at each other rudely.
Three members were banned because of their posts on another Israel-Palestine thread, and we were so delighted to have a few days off from this crap!!! I would advise you all to brush up on the scientific method and practice your skills at civil discourse. I know which way I will vote if it comes down to it. This is supposed to be a place of science and scholarship and the amount of scientific or scholarly content in these threads is almost invisible.
In fact Sam often is the one who at least tries to be a good scientist and cite her sources. But the rest of you just gang up on her in frustration because you never do your own homework so your can't rebut her.
Pathetic!

So all the palestinian can come back to their lands when ever they want. Do you honestly believe your own bullshit.
they want a state Israel still prevents them. they aren't allowed to control their own affairs and Israel is still trying to annex the west bank.It seems that the Palestinians are less interested in organizing an operative state than organizing to kill random Israelis. Until they can get their shit together, why should we care?
