Okay. I decided to even make a thread on this topic, since it comes up over and over again in numerous threads.

What makes Psychotic Episode so appealing to discuss with?

The general pattern related to his posting (esp. in the religion forums) seems to be this, as far as I can discern:

    1. He posts a thread with a provocative or engaging statement or question.
    2. People address it.
    3. He seems to play dumb or innocent, dance around issues, ignores questions and requests put to him, resorts to various kinds of ad homs, often sounds glib, and he seems to have mastered Schopenhauer's Stratagems.
    4. People become frustrated, the whole thread tends to turn into an ad hom.

    What do you think?
What makes Psychotic Episode so appealing to discuss with?
What does your own experience with Psychotic Episode tell you about him, or yourself?

Basically he lives a lie and has to vent anonymously on forums to make up for his lack of self respect in real life.

    Its entertaining.

Well I don't know about PE but you seem to think everyone has 'mastered' shopenhauer's stratagems. A for the rest it sounds a lot like Sam.

i find nothing special about PE, except that he and lightgigantic used to hijack threads and go on at each other for several pages..
