What are the strangest -proven- phenomena?

I mean like quantum entanglement, stuff that just violates common sense. (Excluding the whole of basic quantum theory ...)

The Caribbean Sea entrance of the Panama Canal is further west and the Pacific Ocean exit, so when moving from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific you have to move west to east. That's pretty counter intuitive.

(I am not sure if this is 'proven', but I personally am convinced)

Hell, I think the fact that the universe isn't a uniform gray mass - or some other equally simple thingamajig - is rather weird.

My post is reminiscent of Doreen's, but my story is that I arrived at my conclusion independently, and I'm stickin with my story.

Purely on the basis of logic, I think about how, once upon a time there was absolutely nothing. Not even time.

Now, Viola! I am here and you are here and life and the universe and everything are here . At least, to my own satisfaction, I believe the phenomena of the existence of me et al is proven. (Is there an echo in here? Did somebody else just say that too?)

The existence of me and the universe is the strangest (to my logical mind) proven phenomena that I can imagine.

Yup. Even the illogical parts of my mind are stunned.
