If a woman has a double uterus and she gets pregnant in both of them at about the same time, are the babies twins?
fraternal twins are different eggs. Wouldn't 2 uteruses be 2 pregnancies, not one. I would think 2 pregnancies are not twins, even if they are in those uteruses at about the same time. But.....I dunno.
I didn't think about fraternal. So, still not sure, they could be considered fraternal I guess. Another question might be. How they hell is that birth going to go. I wonder if it's even possible without major complications.
what an odd question, i would say yes just because no one really asks "did your twins come from 1 uterus or 2". For example the association for people who have more than one child born at the same time in Australia is AMBA (the Australian Multiple Births Association) rather than the Multiple Births from one uturus associationPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
In my grand opinion: If you had two uteri then no, they wouldn't be twins, just ordinary siblings. Who may or may not have the same birthday or father.
I wonder if a woman gets pregnant in one uterus, does the other uterus keep ovulating or does it shut down while the other uterus is pregnant? I don't think they would be twins either
Well, yea. But only because women with two uteri do not exist Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
whatever. Aurgh. When a uterus gets ovulated. Is that better ya hair splitting twit? Or...when a uterus goes through menstruation. Or...when a uterus goes through the fertilization baby making implantation uterine lining thickening process?
thats my point, (i wasnt trying to split hairs) but the overies have nothing to do with the uterus. I have herd cases of freternal twins (and ectopics) concived days or weeks apart. Its the hormone levels which determine if you ovulate or not and they can still be quite low early in the pregancy. If they are 2 seprate organs then i cant see why there would be an issue in impreganating days or weeks apart if an egg happened to be releaced then
