Better yet, see a doctor and treat the cause of the pain rather than just masking the symptoms with pain meds.

My sister once called me wanting me to write her a prescription for some anti-vertigo drug. I told her I was an eye doctor and don't treat vertigo. i then asked her why she didn't just have the doctor who prescribed the med renew the prescription. She said she couldn't do that because she'd gotton the meds from her sister!

I said, "You got them from your sister?" WTF? Do you even know why you're experiencing vertigo? You could have a raging ear infeciion for all you know.

Since I refused to give her the RX, she went to the doctor and did, in fact, have a serious ear infection in both ears. Had she waited any longer to ocme in, the doctor told her, she'd have suffered permanent hearing loss!

Anyway, the moral is: DON'T TREAT THE SYMPTOM.
